I am thankful to live in a democracy where we, the people, choose our leaders. I am grateful for the poll workers and election officials who work hard to ensure free and fair elections. I am thankful for the countless volunteers who registered voters, staffed headquarters, placed yard signs, knocked on doors, wrote postcards, made phone calls, held house parties, posted on social media, and watched the polls. I am grateful for the local Democrats who ran for office in a county that is majority Republican. I am thankful that Proposition 1 passed and that our state constitution will protect reproductive choice and other freedoms.
Perseverance. Hornell Democrats are not going anywhere. We are here to stay, and our commitment to our cause is unwavering.
