The Steuben County Office of Emergency Services reports that heavy rainfall on Monday evening caused flooding in the southwestern corner of Steuben County, affecting the Towns of Canisteo, Greenwood, Hartsville, Hornellsville, Jasper and Woodhull. The storm led to water flowing along and over several roadways, prompting immediate response from local first responders and Local, County, and State Highway crews. Crews are actively working overnight in some areas and into Tuesday to assess damage and conduct necessary repairs to ensure roadway safety and restore access.
