Steuben Co Inmates, Are Accused Of Passing Drugs Around The Jail

BATH, NY – From Sheriff Jim Allard:

Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on September 8, 2021, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Chemung and Yates County Correctional Divisions, and the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, conducted a jail wide search for suspected contraband. This search occurred due to information received that weapons and or narcotics were being secreted in the jail by inmates.

Arrested subsequent to the search were:

Robert K. Wilson, age 39, of County Route 119, Cameron, New York. He was charged with Crimnal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree. Mr. Wilson was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and returned to the jail.

Joseph E. Hojnoski, age 51, of County Route 10, Bath, New York. Mr. Hojnoski was also charged with Crimnal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree. Mr. Hojnoski was also arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and returned to the jail.

Sheriff Allard thanks the Chemung and Yates County Sheriff’s Offices, and the members of the NYS DOCCS who participated in this investigation.
