If you live in Steuben County and you want to run for political office this year, you’ll want to know that Steuben County to Host Petition Training Class for those who want to run for office. The class will be held February 1, at the Steuben County Annex Building 20 East Morris Street in Bath, at 9am that day. “We will go over things such as the upocoming political calendar,” said Steuben County Election Commissioner Colleen Haruski. “Also, how to fill out political petition signatures correctly, we’ll tell you who can sign a petition, how many signatures are required, some of the filing deadlines, etc. We’ll also tell them some of the things we look for, who can challenge petitions (and why),” and how that process goes about,” Haruski tells Wlea News
