Coming up today, the Steuben County Legislature will have a public hearing on the Steuben County budget. Immediately afterwards, they’ll be voting on it.
The proposed budget calls for a tax levy increase of 1.7 percent.
That’s according to County Manager Jack Wheeler who also says, the average tax rate will decrease by about four percent.
