Steuben County Covid Numbers Have Gone Way Up

April 23, 2022

Steuben’s COVID Community Level has been moved to High. It is strongly encouraged that when the community level is high, everyone:
1. wear a mask indoors in public
2. stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and boosters
3. get tested if you have symptoms, after exposure and after travel
These prevention steps apply to everyone, regardless of vaccine status or level risk for severe illness. Those who are at higher risk may consider additional precautions.
See https://www.cdc.gov/…/2019…/your-health/free-masks.html for where free masks can be found in your community.
For the latest guidelines related to people who test positive or are contacts to a positive see https://www.cdc.gov/…/your…/quarantine-isolation.html
Our weekly update with number of positives, hospitalized, etc. will be posted on Monday. Darelene Smith says, the numbers that will be released on Monday are far more than last Monday’s 290 cases.
