WLEA News just received this text from Steuben County Emergency Services Director Tim Marshall: “The number of downed trees are just too numerous to report. Areas affected the most, were Addison, Campbell, Canisteo, Cameron and Jasper.” Marshall is talking about the storm damage from last night’s flash flooding. The thunder and lightning in the Canisteo Valley area was very much in effect, between 7:00pm and 8:pm last night. The flash flood warning was issued at 6:08pm Wednesday night and was called off at 11:00pm by the National Wx Service.
