The wind event from late Wednesday afternoon through this morning kept Steuben County 911 Dispatchers, local Fire Departments and highway crews busy handling tree and wire emergencies. Just over 50 calls for service were processed in addition to other emergencies. Hardest hit areas were Prattsburgh, Bath and Thurston. Electric Utility companies are working to restore the remaining 400 customers without power.
