Steuben County Phase One Statement

May 14, 2020

From Steube Co:

New York State released detailed guidance for businesses that are eligible to restart operations in Phase One of the State’s reopening plan, which begins May 15.

Phase One businesses include:

Construction
Agricultural, Forestry, Fishing & Hunting
Retail Trade – Delivery, Curbside and In-Store Pickup Only
Manufacturing
Wholesale Trade

A more detailed list of specific businesses included within these categories can be found by visiting the State’s NY Forward website at https://forward.ny.gov/industries-reopening-phase.

To reopen, businesses in Phase One categories must go to the NY Forward website where reopening guidelines are available for each specific industry. Businesses must review the guidance, their industry’s business safety template, and affirm via an online form that they have implemented the measures outlined.

Businesses are encouraged to put in place any additional safety measures as needed. In addition, businesses should keep their reopening plan and attestation to the State on file, so it is available should it be requested.

Businesses that have already been operating as an essential operation must also complete the attestation in order to continue to operate during Phase One.

Additional resources are available on the Steuben County Industrial Development Agency’s website at https://www.steubencountyida.com/docs/2020/03/31/useful-tools-for-our-business-community/.
