BATH, NY – At the Monthly County Legislature Meeting, Steuben County outlined the upcoming construction projects that will take place in 2024. New bridges will be constructed on County Route 333, County Route 115, McMaster Road, Stowell Road, Bean Station Road, and Learn Road, and County Route 333 and County Route 70A will undergo more serious construction, as well.
The County Legislature also approved the acquisition of new weapons for the County Sheriff’s Department, which will amount to $96,000. Money was transferred out of the Major Equipment Line to the Minor Equipment Line in order to fund the weapons purchase, but the money used was already budgeted for the purchase of weapons.
Additionally, the County Legislature also announced the creation of a new Agricultural District in the northern part of the county that will include land in the towns of Wayland, Dansville, Cohocton, Avoca, Wheeler, and Fremont.
