State Senator Cathy Young posted the following, on her Facebook page:
Attention members of the Class of 2016 and family – graduation day soon will be here. There’s a great scholarship opportunity I want you to be aware of. Applications are now open for high school students entering college in the fall 2016 who are interested in taking part in the New York State Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Incentive Program.
The program provides full SUNY or CUNY tuition scholarships to students in the top 10% of their graduating class, if they major in a STEM field and work in a STEM job in New York State for five years after graduation from college. Details, including eligibility and application requirements, can be found by visiting www.hesc.ny.gov/STEM.
Applications for the STEM Incentive Program must be completed and submitted by August 15, 2016.
