HORNELL-Suzanne J. Povosky, 62, of 153 Hornell St., Hornell, died Monday afternoon (March 6, 2017) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, following a brief illness.
Born in Rochester on April 5, 1954, she was the daughter of Howard & Margaret “Peggy” (Schneider) Scott.
Suzanne resided in Ossian, NY until 2nd grade and lived in Canaseraga for several years. She was a graduate of Canaseraga Central School (class of 1972).
She lived in the Rochester area for a time but resided in the Hornell, Dansville & Wayland areas for most of her life, and had lived in Hornell for the past 15 years.
Suzanne enjoyed music and in her younger years enjoyed playing guitar.
Surviving are her daughter, Jessica (James Monahan) Vazquez of Baldwinsville, NY; her son, Joseph Povosky of Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Joshua Buckman, Edward Monahan, Rachael Povosky and Jacob Povosky; 1 sister, Cathy Emerick of Texas.
At Suzanne’s request there will be no calling hours or Funeral Services.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
Suzanne’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to Hornell Area Inter Group, C/O Jessica Vazquez, 51 Brown St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
