FROM NYSP: During the early morning hours of November 9, 2023, New York State Police responded to a barn structure fire at the Tioga Downs Casino complex located in Nichols, NY. The on-going investigation has revealed that the barn fire was set as an act of arson. This fire resulted in the death of numerous racehorses. A suspect is in custody and the investigation is ongoing at this time. Further information will be released pending the results of the investigation.
