Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy spoke last month, about how Fentanyl is coming from China and into America from the Mexican border. Democrat U.S. Senators Schumer and Gillibrand spent the weekend saying the same exact thing: that the United States has to get the Fentynal problem under control. “The majority of illegal fentanyl entering the United States is made with Chinese precursor chemicals and manufactured in Mexico,” Gillibrand stated in a recent release. Schumer, according to a report from Reuters, said that the government in China is fully aware of this, and does not protest it.
Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson also talked about that same issue over the weekend in a speech he gave in Florida Saturday. And County Republican Chair, Joe Sempolinski, notes that all sides are seeing the issue, exactly the same way. “I’m actually a little bit encouraged to see that people of all areas of the political spectrum talking about this,” Sempolinski said, on the Newsmaker Show this morning. “It’s not often that you see Tucker Carlson and Chuck Schumer both saying some particular thing is a desparate problem we need to deal with, but in this case, they are, and so is everybody in between. So that is one source of hope that unity on a non-ideological dispute, that everybody realizes is a problem.”
