From Hornell City Hall:
Several City of Hornell departments will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving.
City Hall and its offices, as well as City Court, will close at noon on Wednesday [Nov. 27] and remain closed on both Thanksgiving [Nov. 28] and Friday [Nov. 29]. City Hall reopens Monday, December 2.
Also closed those two days will be the Hornell Public Library. It will reopen on Saturday [Nov. 30].
The Hornell Area Transit bus system will be closed on Thanksgiving, but resumes regular service on Friday [Nov. 29].
There will be no garbage collection on Thanksgiving, but it will resume on Friday [Nov. 29]. This means that residents whose garbage normally is picked up on Thursday will have it picked up on Friday that week, while those with Friday collection will have it picked up on Saturday that week.
