The Allegany County Department of Public Works says the Angelica Landfill Transfer Station is open again today. Superintendent of Public Works Superintendent Thomas Windus says, to those affected by the temporary closure on September 15, thank you for your patience. The landfill/transfer station was closed yesterday, due to a hazard chemical in a dumpster.

The Allegany County Landfill Transfer Station located at 6006 County Road 48, Town of Angelica, will resume normal operations Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. To those affected by the temporary closure on September 15, 2026, thank you for your patience.
