STATEMENT BY SENATOR GEORGE BORRELLO ON CUOMO ADMINISTRATION REVERSAL OF MASK MANDATE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
“Childcare providers, parents and all advocates of common sense can breathe a sigh of relief this evening following the news that the Cuomo administration is reversing course on its ill-advised mask mandate for young children in day care programs.
“This reversal is a testament to the impact of our strong, united advocacy against this arbitrary and absurd mandate by the Governor. My colleagues and I were joined forcefully in this effort by dedicated childcare providers and parents from across the state this morning at a virtual rally. My thanks go out to each one of them for joining us in this fight. This outcome proves our voices were heard.”
