FROM THE N.Y.S. D.O.T. : I’m sure you’ve seen Governor Hochul’s announcement about New York’s unprecedented investment in essential state roadways throughout the 2026 construction season. Locally, this translates to more than $46 million in funding for 17 projects, including:
- I-390 in Livingston County from the Steuben County line to Exit 6
- Route 33 (Buffalo Road) in Chili, Ogden and Gates
- Route 31 (Lyell Avenue) in Gates
- Route 251 in Rush and Mendon
- Route 14 in both the city and town of Geneva in Ontario County
- Route 98 in Orleans County, from Route 104 to the Parkway
- Route 104 in Ontario and Williamson in Wayne County
- I-490 in Gates, Chili and Riga in Monroe County and Bergen in Genesee County
These projects are in addition to others that are already planned and/or carrying over into next year through the State Department of Transportation’s capital plan, resulting in the most ambitious annual road resurfacing effort in Department history. You can find the full list of newly announced projects in the third subhead below and I’ve also attached a link to video and photos from this morning’s announcement.
