United Way of the Southern Tier invites the community to help families in need throughout Chemung and Steuben counties by participating in the 2026 Diaper Drive. On average, a baby will go through about 2,200 diapers in their first year at an average cost of $500. Diapers are not covered by WIC or SNAP benefits. In addition to diapers, local families also need other items including wipes, formula, and food. Items being sought for the United Way Diaper Drive include:

Pull-Ups (Sizes 3T-4T, 4T-5T, 5T-6T)

Overnight Diapers
•
Baby Wipes
•
Plastic Sippy Cups
•
Baby Formula

Baby Food

Baby Cereal

Shop United Way’s Amazon wish list. Items will be shipped to United Way of the Southern Tier.

Buy local and drop off donations at the following locations:

Simmons-Rockwell Chevy GMC Showroom, 7327 State Route 54: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
Corning:
Corning Credit Union, One Credit Union Plaza: 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Corning YMCA, 127 Center Way: 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday; 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday; 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
