Today Is The Last Game For The Season, For The Hornell Steamers

On Tuesday night, the Hornell Steamers fell 15-1 to the Dansville Gliders in their road finale of the 2025 season.
Dansville used a pair of big innings to take full control of the game. They scored five in the 1st and ten in the 6th inning. Hornell scored their lone run of the game in the 3rd when Qingyang Feng (Houghton) hit a RBI double to left center to score Logan Hoyt (Hilbert). Nolan Currier led Dansville with a 2 for 3, 4 RBI day while Caden Roy and Kade Keown each finished 2 for 4 with a RBI. Ryan Claverie allowed just four hits and one run in five innings of work to earn the win. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out five. Luke Warner allowed just one walk in two innings of relief.

Hornell will wrap up the season today when they host the Salamanca Lizards at 7 p.m. Prior to the game the Steamers will honor their host families.
