Tracy Mitrano Endorsed By Corning Dems

July 2, 2020

From Democrat Tracy Mitrano:

PENN YAN — The Corning City Democratic Committee has endorsed Tracy Mitrano’s candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives from New York’s 23rd Congressional District. The vote was unanimous.

The committee also voted to donate $500 to Mitrano’s campaign, the highest amount they are permitted to donate in a calendar year.

“Tracy’s experience, education and work ethic make her a far more qualified candidate than the incumbent,” said Marshall Hyde, chair of the group’s election support subcommittee. “Beyond that is her commitment to the citizens of the 23rd district, demonstrated time and again in her willingness to truly listen to everyone across the district and learn from them, regardless of party affiliation.”

“I’m delighted to have this endorsement and generous donation from the City of Corning Democratic committee,” said Mitrano. “We won Coming in 2018, and we are going to win it again together with this seat in Congress!”

Also, the Steuben County Democratic Committee has donated $1,500 to Tracy Mitrano’s campaign to represent the 23rd congressional district. The committee formally endorsed her campaign in May. Mitrano is running to unseat Republican Rep. Tom Reed. “The committee has given so generously because we believe Tracy will be a uniter not a divider, a leader not a follower and someone committed to all people, not just wealthy donors and corporations,” said committee chair Shawn D. Hogan. “We stand with Tracy and we will be victorious in November.”

“I am grateful to the Steuben County Democratic Committee for their support, both in the form of an endorsement and as financial assistance,” said Mitrano. “These donations are our campaign’s lifeblood, as we’re running without the big checks from PACs and lobbyists that my opponent enjoys.”
