ALLEGANY COUNTY, NY – State Police report that on today’s date at 2:30 pm, Troopers were called in to the scene of an accident on County Route 15b in the Town of Burns. “A vehicle traveling south on County Route 15b went through the crossing barriers as the Norfolk Southern train approached,” Troopers said. “The train stuck the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle has serous physical injuries. The train has minimal damage.
County Route 15b will be closed from State Hwy 70 to County Route 15a for several hours. This is an active investigation and no information will be given out at this time.”
