ELMIRA NY – Elmira Police Chief Anthony Alveraz reports that during one of today’s shooting incidents in Elmira, that a state trooper was injured during a foot pursuit. The Police Chief says that while the trooper tried to climb a metal fence at Woodlawn Cemetery, the trooper’s leg was impaled.
The police chief says there is a suspect in custody.
