FROM NYSP: On March 10, 2024, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Amity arrested Walter J. Rix, 32 of Friendship, NY for Menacing 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration. 2nd degree.
On March 10, 2024, at 6:37 P.M., Troopers out of SP Amity responded to a menacing complaint on County Route 40 in the town of Clarksville, NY. Investigation determined that Rix pointed a 9mm High Point Carbine at a 31-year-old victim and threatened to shoot. Rix was later located at his residence and arrested. Rix was transported to SP Amity and processed.
Rix was arraigned at the town of Clarksville Court and released on his own recognizes.
