Tuesday Night Power Outages Affected Hundreds In Steuben

The wind/thunder and lightnighg storms came through Steuben County last night, at one point, causing 522 NYSEG outages, from downed trees and wires.  There were dozens (in some cases, well over 100) outages in the following towns:
Hartsville, Campbell, Thurston and Corning. 

From Canisteo Mayor Rick McInroy: “A good size tree fell into one of our side streets during the major part of the storm around 6 to 7 last night. No damage to any surrounding structures. DPW were called out to cut it up and get it out of the street.  Also some residents were without electric between 6 and 7.”

In the Town of Bath, Bath Electric Gas And Water reported that there were downed trees and lines in the area of Route 415 and Babcock Road. 

As of this posting at 8:07am, there are no more outages in Steuben County.
