Two Serious Accidents: One In Dansville, One In Friendship

December 19 2019

WESTERN NY – Officials from the State Police in Geneseo and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department were at the scene of an accident in Dansville on Wednesday, from about 10:05am until the 4:00 hour that afternoon. According to state police, three people suffered minor injuries in a multi vehicle accident at Exit 5, on 390 in Dansville. The accident was complicated by the fact that numerous cows were inside a trailer involved in that accident. According to troopers, there were no cattle injuries, but the cows had to be put on another trailer. Also, approximately 100 gallons of fuel spilled on the road, and to add to the chaos, large pieces of lumber were being transported, spilled out on to the road too.

Then in the Allegany County Town of Friendship, there was a collision between a tractor trailer and a minivan on I-86 on Wednesday morning, at about the same time as the accident in Dansville. The Wellsville Regional News page reported that at one point, a person was trapped underneath the mini-van.
