Update On Conceal Carry In New York State

October 13, 2022

An appeals court judge has ruled that Governor Kathy Hochul’s Concealed Carry Law, is now restored the law, in its entirety. The question is, does that mean that the appeals court decision cannot be reversed? Governor Kathy Hochul issued a statement, saying that her Concealed Carry Law, will stay intact, during the appeals process.

Republicans double checkedg that with their attorneys to see what they say about the law staying intact. “This (appeals) court, put a restraining order on the stay, that was put in place by the federal judge,” Assemblyman Phil Palmesano tells Wlea News. “Now this is being forwarded to a three judge panel, to be evaluated further. This is how it’s going to be for quite some time, there will be decisions, appeals, and other decisions and other court cases. We know that there are other court cases that have been filed by church organizations and others, this will ultimately fall into the hands of the U.S. Supreme Court once again. It is my hope that at that point in time, the governor’s law will be ruled unconstitutional.”
