Update On Corning/Elmira Area Prostitution Ring

BATH, NY – Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker has announced that four suspects have been indicted by a county grand jury on criminal enterprise and prostitution charges.

Here are the details:

Larry Comfort Sr. and Jonathan Hamilton are jointly charged for allegedly knowingly and unlawfully possesing cocaine with intent to sell it, and attempts to sell cocaine in 2020 on numerous dates.

Larry Comfort Sr. is individually charged for allegedly promoting prostitution, conpiracy to commit murder, sex trafficking and numerous other offenses.

Larry Comfort Sr. and Larry Comfort Jr. and Jonathan Hamilton are jointly charged for allegedly providing a person who is being patronized with narcotics to impair that person’s judgement, and sex trafficking.

Larry Comfort Sr. and Larry Comfort Jr. are jointly charged with sex trafficking and aiding each other to provide drugs to a person engaging in prostitution, to impair that person’s judgement.

Larry Comfort Sr. and Larry Comfort Jr. and Steven Maio are jointly charged with promoting prostitution in the third degree with intent to defraud.

Steve Maio is individually indicted on charges for allegedly patronizing a prostitute in Hornellsville in August of 2020, and numerous other charges, for allegedly instilling fear into a person that if Maio’s demands were not met, Maio would withhold information in court, about a legal claim, involving a family court custody matter.

Jonthan Hamilton is individually indicted on a charge of criminal contempt in the second degree, for allegedly attempting to contact a witness.

Hamilton, Larry Comfort Jr. and Steve Maio are out on bail, Larry Comfort Sr. is being held without bail.
