ALBANY, NY – There is a new report out today from the State Comptroller’s Office, that says that the village of Canisteo, is not in fiscal stress, but is susceptible to it.

Canisteo Mayor Monica Recktenwald says this was due to a previous village board not submitting the End of Year Reports to the NYS Comptrollers Office for several years. Recktenwald says that the reports are now being filed, and that things are now improving.
