Wal-Mart Agrees To Settlement With State A.G.’s Office

September 17, 2014

ALBANY, NY – New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has announced that Walmart has agreed to  pay $66,000 in a false advertising settlement .

The a.g.’s office says that Wal-Mart was sold 66,000 twelve packs of Coca Cola, for $3.50 at Wal-Marts statewide here in New York State, during a June sale.  The problem: the nationally advertised price during June was $3.00.

The state attorney general says Wal-Mart would not lower the price to $3.00, until the AG’s office contacted the company.
