ALFRED, NY – State Police in Allegany County report that a woman was out walking in a wooded area in the Town of Alfred this morning, when she fell down an embankment, hitting her head on a rock.
Officials say she called 9-1-1, and that a search was started by New York State Police, along with Alfred PD, SUNY Alfred PD and the New York State Park Rangers.
The woman was eventually found at St. James Hospital in Hornell.
