WOODHULL, NY – The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports that they got a call about a man who was allegedly in violation of a protection order, by being inside a Woodhull home. Officials say that Jacob Canute, 26, Corning, was in a fight at a Woodhull home, and that when officials arrived at the scene, Canute fled the scene.
He was later found in a car, asleep, and in possession of drugs and hypodermic needles.
Canute is facing numerous charges and was remanded to Steuben County Jail.
