Woodhull Man Is Accused Of Resisting Arrest, Violating Protection Order

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on July 24, 2021, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew P. Stanton, age 28, of Mill Street, Woodhull, New York, following an investigation of alleged failure to obey a stay away order of protection.

It is alleged that Mr. Stanton was contacting a protected party in violation of a duly served order of protection, and that when ordered to submit to his lawful arrest, he resisted his arrest and endangered another person. Mr. Stanton was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree and Resisting Arrest. Mr. Stanton was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $100 bail.
