Assemblyman Errigo: We Need Reform In State Gov’t

January 10, 2018

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, NY – Assemblyman Joe Errigo (R, Conesus) is calling for ethics reform in state government following the indictment of Assemblywoman Pamela Harris. The NYC Democrat has surrendered to the FBI after being accused of stealing federal, state and city funds, as well as FEMA money intended for Superstorm Sandy relief. “Yesterday’s indictment of Assemblywoman Pamela Harris should send a clear message to New Yorkers everywhere that the time for ethics reform is now,” said Errigo. “Residents of this state have stood on the sidelines for too long as their elected officials are swept up in investigations, arrests and trials, and it is a shameful disrespect to the integrity our government is expected to uphold. This era of corruption must end, and it starts with every resident and every legislator from every corner of this state demanding reform.”
