HORNELL, NY – The Board of Public Safety appointed Mathew Graham to full-time firefighter at Monday’s Board of Public Safety meeting. Graham has been a volunteer with the South Hornell Fire Department and working as a call man for the Hornell Fire Department as well.
Mayor John Buckley said, “Matt is a welcome addition to our Fire Department and will help deliver the high level of service City area residents rely on. Matt brings valuable experience to the table with his background in the volunteer ranks as well as his work as a call man here in the City.”
Firefighter Graham, who already is EMS certified, started work immediately following his appointment.
“He’s hitting the ground running. I’m very excited for him. He’s coming into a great Department” said Mayor John Buckley.
