Pelych Taking Post As Head of County Public Defenders
BATH, N.Y.- Steuben County Public Safety and Corrections committee unanimously approved Hornell Attorney, Joe Pelych for the county’s assigned counsel administrators post, at the pay rate of $45,000.00 per year with a $500.00 increase each year.
County Administrator Mark Alger, told the committee that the county received two proposals for the position, Mr. Pelych’s proposal was the lowest of the two.
There is, on the horizon, software coming to the Public Defenders office, that will help with the assigned counsel program and manage contact between the counselors and clients.
