On Tuesday, the New York State Legislature’s third week of hearings, focused on the governor’s proposals for Health/Medicaid. During the hearing, Senator O’Mara solicited testimony from state Department of Health Commissioner James McDonald on two key challenges facing rural New York: 1.) rural ambulance/EMS service and 2.) recruiting and retaining nurses.
