Hogan: Next Mayor Gets A Better Salary

November 17, 2015

HORNELL, NY – Monday night the Hornell City Common Council was in session for it’s monthly meeting, on the agenda the Council approved a measure raising the Mayor’s base pay from $28,000 to $65,000 not to exceed $75,000. The Mayor said that it would not affect his current salary. Hogan’s term is up in 2017 and he is not seeking re-election and the old pay scale of $28,000 starting out is too low and it would be hard to get a qualified candidate to want the job at that pay rate.
