According to longtime ASSEMBLY Magazine columnist Harry Moser in Manufacturing Projects for EV Batteries and Semiconductors Catapult Reshoring, 2022 was a record year in the U.S., with more than 364,000 new manufacturing jobs created. That’s a record high, a 53 percent increase from 2021.
Moser cites a combination of government incentives, the surge in manufacturing projects for EV batteries, and semiconductor chip investments as the top reasons for the drastic increase.
