Alfred St. Architect Students Present Different Visions for Downtown Hornell

February 13, 2017

HORNELL, NY – Every year students from Alfred State’s Architectural Engineering program do a class project on how to revitalize urban areas of our various communities. This year professor Rex Simpson’s class project was the improvement to various buildings, lots, and parking in downtown Hornell.

Approximately 15 students were present before Monday’s monthly Common Council meeting and shared their ideas with the mayor, common council members, press, and general public. Hogan said he was really impressed with some of their ideas and the city has actually incorporated ideas from the student’s class project in the past.
