Allegany Co. Chairman Responds To Allegations of Overtime Pay at County Jail

Allegany County Legislative Chair Issues Statement About Comptroller’s Audit and Overtime Allegations

BELMONT, N.Y.- Allegany County Chairman Curtis Crandall issued a statement regarding New York State Comptroller Dinapoli’s audit of the Allegany County Jail. Crandall said in response to receiving the Report of Examination from the Office of the New York State Comptroller which covered the period of January 1, 2012, through June 5, 2013, Allegany County will be reviewing the Report and plans to have a written corrective action plan. The required corrective action plan will address the findings and recommendations contained within the Report. The action plan will be sent to the Comptroller’s Office within the required 90 days and will also be made available to the public at that time as well. Allegany County appreciates the efforts of the Comptroller’s Office in their role of auditing the fiscal affairs of local government; and the Allegany County Board of Legislators, Sheriff, County Treasurer and County Administrator will collectively work to continue providing the required services in the most efficient and responsible manner possible.
