Former Almond Clerk Charged With Grand Larceny

ALMOND, N.Y.- New York State Police based out of Amity N.Y, on Wednesday arrested former Town Clerk, Maureen E. Haynes on charges of third-degree grand larceny and first-degree falsifying business records. The arrest came after a New York State Comptrollers audit, which uncovered $3,785 allegedly missing prompted an investigation between the Allegany County District Attorneys office and the Amity based New York State police Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Haynes was arraigned and released on appearance tickets.
