Assemblyman Giglio: Making It Easier To Become A Law Enforcement Officer

August 23, 2023

Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R, Assembly NY) says, he’s trying to get a law passed so that the maximum age is raised for law enforcement applicants, and so that military veterans can get into law enforcement jobs more easily. “People getting out of the service after a career in the military, they’re very well trained and 30 is not old,” Giglio said. “If they can do the work and pass the physical, they should be able to get the job, and not be prevented from doing so, because of an arbitrary age rule.”
