Assemblywoman Marjorie Byrnes, August 16, 2021, On Seeing The AG’s Actual Evidence

August 16, 2021

Assemblywoman Marjorie Byrnes (R, Caledonia) tells Wlea News that starting Tuesday morning, that the members of the NYS Assembly’s Judiciary Committee (which Byrnes is a member of) will be able to start seeing, for themselves, for the first time, starting tomorrow morning and going all week long, all of State Attorney General Tish James’ collection of evidence used in her recent report, about Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Byrnes tells WLEA that only members of the Assembly Judiciary Committee will be able to examine the evidence, not even the committees lawyers can take part in this. The GOP assemblywoman also says that the reason for this, is the large amount of complaints from all over New York State, from women’s groups and relatives of those who died of Covid-19 in nursing homes, who were outraged at the news that State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D, NYC) was suspending the investigations. Byrnes also told when the Assembly Judiciary Committee is finished with their investigation, they will llkely be turning over that evidence and report, to the numerous district attorneys, who are investigating Governor Andrew Cuomo.
