Steuben County Ddistrict Attorney Brooks Baker tells Wlea that Brett Heffner, 28, of Corning, is scheduled to be sentenced today in the county courtroom.
Heffner pleaded guilty on March 20, to a charge of Murder om the Second Degree, for the death of 26 year old Keli Collins of Corning.
The district attorney says, Collins was both sexually assaulted and strangled last summer in Corning.
