Today is Tuesday, May 16, 2023, and there will be voting today.
The Hornell School Budget is a $41 million dollar budget, there’s a 1.24 percent increase on the tax levy.
The Hornell School District has is a capital overlay project: to upgrade the lights on the baseball stadium, improve fencing around the stadium, improve lighting in the High School, and do some safety upgrades to the High School. There is also a bus prop in Hornell, for leasing three school buses, voting in Hornell is noon to nine at the high school… school board candidates are Chris Clark and Brian May.
Canisteo-Greenwood has a $28,748,063 budget, school superintendent Tom Crook says there is a zero percent increase this year…voting there is 12pm-8pm. CG School Board President Mike Nisbet and school board member Mike Lehman are both running again in today’s school board races in Canisteo.
Arkport Central’s voting is 11am to 8pm tonight inside the small gym at Arkport Central. It’s a 13.7 million dollar budget. Two candidates are running for one seat on the Arkport school board, Timothy Bailey and incumbent Tracie McCarthy.
