CANISTEO, NY – Canisteo Police report the arrest of Jason Loper, 46, Old Big Creek Road Hornell. Loper is charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree. Officials with Canisteo Police say that Loper was wanted on warrants by the New York State Police and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department. Canisteo Police say that after finding out where Loper was, Canisteo Police Officers caught up with Loper, after a vehicle pursuit and a foot chase. Jason Loper was turned over to the State Police and was taken to the Steuben County Jail to be processed.
Canisteo Police are thanking New York State Police, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and all other law enforcement agencies who assisted in finding Jason Loper.
