“Over the last 3 days, The Canisteo Police Department working with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office investigating the Burglaries and Larcenies that had occurred in the Canisteo Area. We are glad to say we were able to locate and recover the stolen property. This is still an ongoing investigation and details will be limited at this time. The individuals and vehicle were able to be identified as well as the vehicle used.
“The Canisteo Police Department thanks the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, The Elmira Police Department, and The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance throughout this investigation, it truly was a team effort by all Departments that made it possible to locate the property and identify the individuals responsible.
