Canisteo’s Flag Contest

CANISTEO, NY – Canisteo Village Trustee James Dineen says there is a contest going on there, to vote on the “best flag” for Canisteo. “We’re trying to get an official flag, because we don’t have one,” Dineen said. “We had it narrowed down to six potential Canisteo flags and now we are down to two flags. Both of those flags are flying now across from the Canisteo Police Station, in front of the gazebo. You can vote at the Canisteo Village Hall and vote there by paper ballot, or you can do e-voting with a QR code, which is posted at the Canisteo Library, the Canisteo Village and Town Halls, it’s stapled on the wall at the Canisteo Shurfine, and on Facebook. There are many places to do the QR voting, and only one place to vote by paper ballot: the village hall,” said Dineen.
