HORNELL – On May 20, Hornell City School District residents approved the district’s $44,978,293 budget proposal and elected one board of education member.Voters approved:
• A $44,978,293 budget for the 2025-26 school year: 174 Yes; 76 No;
• Expenditure of up to $550,000 from the Transportation Reserve Fund for student transportation vehicles: 194 Yes; 55 No;
• Authorization of an Energy Performance Contract: 162 Yes; 86 No;
• Authorized the Hornell Public Library budget in the amount of $407,382: 167 Yes; 65 No;
• The election of Brian May to a second five-year term on the Hornell Board of Education to begin on July 1.
